Ozwall
precast panels and partitions are created from a unique patented
system which is designed to deliver significant cost-efficiencies
on small to large developments. Fabricated off-site, the load-bearing
walls are 85% lighter than conventional precast panels and can speed
construction times by up to 30%.
The Ozwall Process
Ozwall combines the fast setting properties
of plaster with an extremely efficient vertical casting system.
A series of air operated expanding plugs is used to form light weight,
hollow, pre-finished walls and partitions.
The addition of fibre to the plaster mixture imparts integrity to
the partitions and load bearing properties to the walls.
Walls
Hollow walls up to three (3) metres high
by twelve (12) metres long are produced in thicknesses from 120mm
to150mm.
Twelve (12) metre walls are cut using a computer controlled saw
to maximise off-site fabrication. Doors and windows are also pre-cut
to further eliminate site labour and speed construction.
The site addition of concrete to the hollow Ozwall creates full
structural load bearing walls up to twelve (12) storeys high.
Partitions
Ozwall 120mm thick hollow, non load-bearing
partitions are 500mm wide and 2.7metres to 3 metres high. A tongue
and groove system on the long edges combined with a plaster adhesive
ensures the individual panels can be assembled to achieve a flat
wall surface.
Each 120mm thick panel weighs around 65 kilos and is easily installed
without the use of craneage. Typical fire resistance for the 120mm
partition is 60 minutes with higher ratings achieved by the addition
of insulation.
